If the child lives, he/she will eventually know that they were born to a mother who wasn't intending to have a child. On the other hand, it may be comforting for them to know that the mother decided to save it's life! If it will jeapordize the child or mother's life, an abortion would be appropriate.

Well the crime can be reported to the police and the case can be put on trial. But not many people can solve trauma after child abortion afterall the process may damage the reproduction organ to a certain degree that if the person wants to have a baby it may not be possible in the future. I can not say the child is more important considering it is a result of rape, but killing the child will not solve anything so why do it? The mother can always give the child to orphanage if it hurts her so much to see it everyday. Killing the child will put the mother in the same position as the rapist, because she does something to a living being against its will while it can not defend itself, much like what the rapist has done to her.

I would keep that child, but I would probably need counseling to get over the rape incident. The child is more important and even though you didn't intend on having a child, I wouldn't destroy the product. At worst, I'd give it up for adoption to the many people in the world who are unable to have children of their own.

No abortion! The child is a gift from God! No matter what you should make sure the child lives even if you have to give the child up for adoption or if you drop the child off at a churches doorstep or hospital. Someone will take the child in if you leave it on a doorstep of a church, hospitol, police station, etc...

That is a tough one! I would want to say it isnt the childs fault. I would want to say that child is half me. But would every time I see that child make me think of how it came to be? I think I would keep the child. The child isnt the father. Maybe I would give it up to a family who really wants children who cant have them. This way the child lives and you dont have to be reminded.

I can understand why some women would chose abortion, in this case

I personally couldn't do it

It's not that baby's fault, and while I may not want it, someone does. I think I would be compelled to deliver the baby and make some loving couples dream come true.

besides, what better way to turn a nightmare into a miracle?

No..not the Innocent's fault. Besides, perhaps there is a greater reason for the conception. Who are we to judge the child should not exist? Although, this is not to make it sound like a simple easy decision..

Child is more important but the sad part is that the child would be a constant reminder of the awful event. But it wasnt the child's fault. So I would love the child unconditionally and let them know what the situation and let them know they are loved dearly everday.

IN MY VIEWS I WOULD NOT ABORT THAT CHILD BECAUSE IT IS RELIGIOUSLY WRONG TO DO SO REGARDS LESS OF THE FACT .I ALSO THINK THAT THE CHILD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RAPE AND SO THEREFOR E BE GIVEN THE RIGHT TO LIVE .

i'd give it up for adoption. it would be hard for me to take care of a child who looked like someone who raped me. i wouldnt want to go through an abortion but i think its the womans choice if she wants to have one or not.
