One of the reasons the antivirus program may not be able to heal the file is because the file is in use. Try restarting your computer in safe mode (hit the f8 button repeatedly on startup until boot options menu appears) and repeating the scan.

From your question, it is clear that you are using AVG. Well, the virus might have corrupted some system file of yours or attached itself to it, so moving it to 'Virus Vault' could be a serious problem. I think the only way is to move the virus to the vault irrespective of the warning and see for any malfunctioning. Windows can operate without some system files, which are for enhancing appearance or stuff like that (I lost a system file in the same way, and my computer has never acted differently, even though it is 2 months now). If your Windows does show some complications, then insert the genuine Windows product CD to repair / replace the damaged the files.

Good day. The file may be a system file used by windows so if u try to move or delete it, the windows sytem may become unstable. I suggest u backup ypur important files on a CD Or USB Stick and try deleting this file on safe mode. If windows fails to boot aftere reboot, u have to reinstall windows. The name of the file which is infected may gaive u a clue. The file may affect just a certain program. Good luck man.

AVG is crap. certainly. bypass out, yet kaspersky (its like £20 for 3 shoppers) set up that, load up in secure mode, and do an total test. if theirs something there that is going to bypass, undergo in ideas use secure mode (bash f8 once you turn it on). this way in common words the mandatory elements will be loaded, the virus isn't, you'd be in a position to delete it. Failing that, reinstall vista advert-ware and AdwareAlert contain spyware themselves (why are they loose?) certainly Kaspersky will end your issues
