I have seen lots of well answered questions regarding how to trust, and how to overcome trust issues - but does any one have have ideas on how to cope when you 'feel the fear'? For example, you have identified something that generates a feeling of mistrust within yourself, and recognise it as paranoia (or just plain unlikely)... how do you stop that sick feeling, or stop yourself from saying something you might regret or may hurt someone's feelings if unfounded?

Well, you literally feel it. Feel it in your body - and don't resist it.
If you try to control these emotions it's like trying to push a beach ball under the water. It just gets more and more powerful.

When you get one of those nasty feelings, ask yourself, 'How does this feel in my body?' You want the actual physical sensations. Just notice how it feels. Don't try to control it. Just let it be.

It will move. It will dissipate.

Don't beat yourself up for having these feelings. Just notice that they're there and let them flow.

Good luck

U cant help the way u feel but the other person has to gain that trust, if u have doubts then the only way to over come that is to sit down and talk about it, u need to get everything out in the open so that u can put ur mind at rest and stop the paranoia, but like i sed u have to gain trust but dnt be so hard on people and always think the worst, xx

1. Stop worrying. 2. Breathe. 3. Realise there are over 6 billion people on this earth all with their hopes, fears and dreams. 4. Expand your thoughts to understand that you are not the centre of the universe and that everything passes.

No one can teach you trust techniques. You must learn on your own how to trust and who to trust. People have certain ways and perspective on trusting others.
