Yes. Mine are delicious, tasting a lot like cotton candy, but the outer seeds are numerous and a little bitter.If they taste good, enjoy. It helps if you feed them a fertilizer for acid-loving plants and mulch with pine needles.

Are you talking about fragaria?
Those are edible, but extremely bland.

They are not poisonous, as far as I know, but they have no flavor.
