Initiallly I did because I have been a victim of bullying myself and I totally identified with her feelings. How ever I did ponder over Shilpa's behaviour over the past week, her constant need for attention, ear shattering screeching at silly things, though she appears to be a nice girl, it didnt seem like she was showing her true personality. THe other HMs just responded to that I suppose. However it does not justify the other HMs to respond with racism and using vile name calling. At least she has ended up the better person in all of this.

I guess she never really expected any of that because she always felt as though everyone liked her because of her status back in India. Im not saying she deserved any of that but it does bring her back to earth I suppose.

Well at least shes getting £350,000 for her troubles when she leaves BB. I would be happy with that.

I do feel sorry for her. What has she done to deserve a pack of bullies snapping at her for nothing every day and reducing her to tears? Yes, Shilpa can be a bit too big for her boots and talk about her servants and how everyone respects her in India, but she is in England now and is struggling to fit into a different culture and she is making mistakes like any of us would if we were on a TV show in India.

There has been subtle racism in the house;

1. Jackiey told Shilpa she didn't speak "your language" and referred to her as "The Indian."

2. Jo O'Meara was mocking Shilpa's Indian accent in front of the other girls to stir up hatred against her.

3. They all refused to eat Shilpa's Indian food because they believed her way of cooking (i.e. the Indian way) was unhygienic.

Fair enuf if someone isn't being "true" or alters the way they may do things in the house, it doesnt give anyone the excuse to say things in a rude way. There are ways of being outspoken. For instance the whole issue with the chicken, i did not see any of the girls go and help with it until it was put on the table. At the end of the day shilpa has an issue with she always wants to cook, but then they need to tell her that they want to cook and do something about it. She is totally being treated unfairly and its not nice to watch.

Yes, I feel sorry for what she is going through. I don't recall anyone in the BB house EVER who had to put up with the nastiness meted out to Shilpa. However, unless the situation changes drastically. she will come out of this with dignity and public sympathy.

The other 3 (and Danielle in particular because the other two are just common thickos) will have been exposed as vicious, bitchy bullies. So basically they will reap what they sow. I am still amazed BB is allowing this to happen without sending some psychologist to intervene and inform the coven that unless they reform they are in for a media thrashing.

i feel sorry for her, there is a very large culture gap between the three girls and her.
shilpa is a VERY famous and powerful person in india. although i have never heard of her, my family live in india and they say that she is practically worshiped there. and the thing about having servants.... its a VERY normal thing in india. my family arent rich or anything, but we have servants too as that is how india is. they are not whipped or made to work to the bone. it is just a job in india, and is basically a maid, but is called a servant in india. they are paid, most of them have PAID accomodation from the family and lots of other bonuses. without servants family life could not function in india, the things there are very different.
perhaps the three girls arent being exactly racist, i think that they are just being extremely bitchy as they are so jealous. danielle most probably came into the house thinking that she will be the most prettiest girl in the house, jade is just a chav and a *****, her bf *seems* to be slightly racist, and all i can say for jo is that she is just trying to join the crowd.
i think that they should def get some sort of warning from big brother. shilpa has def held her head up high and she will walk out as the bigger person. i respect her for not stooping down to their level.

I do feel a bit sorry for her - maybe you could say she's being bullied, bt it's not because of her race, so all this carry on about racism is wrong.

She is a very pretty girl. Jo, Jade and Danielle are jealous I think and so they are "ganging up" but its nothing to do with her race.

She does have certain attitudes that could be construed as annoying or offensive herself. The factis that there are some people she doesn't get on with and who don't seem to like her, but this is not racist taunts - it's just nasty behaviour on the part of other three. They are all adults at the end of the day.

I totally identify with what is going on there. I was bullied by some "supposed" friends of mine. They just kept poking fun at me and squealing with laughter about me when I was in the next room. It is bullying (not sure if it is racism). Bullies are basically insecure.

I do feel sorry for her because as a victim of bullying she is trying to put a brave face on things and show them that she is not fazed which is where the squealing comes in. She is definitely being the bigger person there.

Someone above has said that she knew what she was getting into - she so clearly didn't. She has never come across anyone like Jade and Jackiey. She is from a culture that teaches self-discipline, respect, manners and dignity. The Goody clan show none of those qualities.
I think Shilpa can handle herself in there and she will come out with her dignity intact. My overwhelming emotion is horror and shame that our country is represented in there by such dumb, ignorant, useless slobs.

I think that it is disgusting. The trouble is that you have to wonder what the producers are thinking when they think that it is entertaining to watch this behaviour. If I treated anyone like that as a kid I would still be grounded. As it is Jade's mother started it. Just shows you that it is all in upbringing.
Shilpa will get over it even if she never has a good word for an Englishman again in her life.

The person I'm most sorry for is Teddy. Will he want to be seen with Danielle again?

Yes i do feel for Shilpa , in my eyes the other girls are jealous of her and i dont think she is making fun of the English accent , she is articulate and knows how to use the language well , which just goes to show a lack of education and standards on Jade & co's behalf!

Bullying is bullying no matter how u look upon it ...

Slightly. It seems that she doesn't know what it's like to be hated because she's basically put on a pedestal in India. I can also see why the girls dislike her, she does come off as a bit fake. She's also gorgeous, that could be another reason.

Apart from that, she seems like a decent person. But they are completely bullying her. No good reason for that.
