As far as I know,they are not allowed to talk to the media,the only time you hear them is when they're calling a penalty.UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS,NUMBER 77!!!!!!!!!

I've met several at referee clinics. They all have to answer to every call they make and review all the game film with NFL officials in NY following each and every game. When they screw up, they know about it and a lot of times are demoted or let go because of it. Plenty of presssure, but they're paid well.
They are not allowed to interact with the media immediately following games for obvious reasons and try to to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. Don't have any autographs, but I have pictures taken with most of them.

A week ago, I was walking down the street and a blind man needed help across the street, his dog had ran off, it turns out that he was a NFL ref and that he would prolly be calling the super bowl this year. Can't wait to see all the great calls.
