Is it ok to give my baby soy formula even if he/she doesn't have a milk/lactose problem?

Of course it is ok,as long as the formula meets all the needs of your baby it will be just fine,it is all personal preference unless your baby needs something different,my 5 month old has to be on a dairy and soy free hypo alleregenic cuz he is allergic to dairy and soy.Alot of mothers prefer soy for their babes.

A soy formula is fine for a child to be given instead of milk what you can do if your scared your child maynot be getting the same amounts of vitamins you could give your child vitamin D supplements the same kind they tell you to give if your breastfeeding... But I would also ask the doctor so incase you have other questions or concerns s/he can settle all of those for you.. before you make that decision.

babies should only have breastmilk or formula for the first year. you should always talk to your doctor before changing anything.

I think so but you should always talk to your doctor when you are not sure...especially with a new born.
