Mozilla firefox: go to tools and click clear private data option
it automatically deletes search, download histories, cookies etc.
IE:
click on history button
delete all tabs under history

There could be certain ways:
If your are using Internet explorer go to tools menu,then to Internet options. Under the General menu you can delete all your history; and you might also wanna play with the settings.

Then also go to Content menu under Internet options. There clear all the three Content advisors, Feed and Autocomplete. Under settings, Uncheck all the boxes that are checked.

Also you may run disk clenup wizard under Program, Accessories, System tool and disk cleanup. It will remove all your Cache, temporoary files, cookies.

Do all these and nobody wont even find a trace about what you're doing on the internet.

depends on what your system is. go to internet options and click on erase history.
