Is there a way to zoom out on the neighbor view in the sims 2?

I want to be able to view the whole neighborhood like I could do on the Sims. The sims 2 only lets me get so far and does not show the WHOLE town...any ideas?

Once you are viewing a house, you can not zoom out to view the whole neighborhood.
