Shipa is being taunted but it has nothing to do with her colour and it should not be classed as racist bullying. In India, Shilpa has many servants, is a big star and everyone calls her m'am and they stand up when she enters a room. Because of that she is finding it difficult to adjust to a new and completely opposite environment. She is trying to command the other housemates and she is coming across as arrogant and too self assured. That is why some of the other housemates do not like her.

Well from what I saw on the news it depends on what you class as being racist. I know that Jo said something about Indians being thin because they always undercooked their food but I don't see how or why this is racist. I'm a vegetarian and I have similar comments about food, and about being thin yet I do not class this as being racist or whatever. This is just ignorance about culture and lifestyle choices, which does not make someone racist. Jade's mum used to call her the Indian (which technically is what she is) and this is considered racist, yet when people call Jade scum or a chav no-one bats an eyelid.

I think a lot of people have jumped on the bandwagon just because of the colour of her skin. Someone in the house apparently also made a comment about her handling the other housemates food saying they don't know where her hands had been. Well fair comment - I certainly would not eat anything if someone else has touched it for exactly the same reason, be they white/black or be they my family even! If a white celeb made the same comment to another white celeb then this comment would not be classed as racist, and yet say the same thing to someone of a different ethnicity and it is.

Celebrity big brother is one big publicity stunt. The way i look at this is that everyone in that house want the majority of the attention to secure a contract or two after they leave the house.

Lets face it most of them in there have failing or up and coming entertainment career so they will do what they can to secure there future.

Entertainment is about getting noticed after all.

well she is the only Indian in the house and every single house mate except 4 people have turned against her for absolutely no reason what so ever....
...they pick on her and call her really disgusting names...
they called her many things but the only thing which can stick out was that they called her a dog.
and all you constantly here from the house mates who pick on her is say 'shilpa is soo annoying i just don't like or understand her at all , i think it could just be that our cultures are different''

so i guess in saying that it seems like it could be a racial attack.

But i personally believe that all of this had developed from jealously, in the fact that Shilpa is a very beautiful, dignified, intelligent women coming into England and taking the lime light off of them so they feel very jealous of her.

I don't think that she has complained that she has been racially abused herself, more that is the public perception of what has been said about her behind her back.

The namecalling has become out of hand now and it seems that Jade and Danielle are subconsciously, perhaps, egging each other on. It is completely unnecessary and sadly probably reflective of the sort of society we have become - obsessed with talentless non-entities who through a lack of any discernable brain cell between them have reduced themselves to bullying a lady whose only crime appears to have been cooking them a meal that they were too lazy to get up and cook themselves.

If I was Shilpa, I would make them a meal alright.....then spit in it.

I dont think this is a publicity stunt but i do think people in the house, well some, are bullying Shilpa.

I do like watching Big brother but i dont like it when a group of people start to bully someone else...

I dont think everyone who oes on big brother are freak shows some people who decide to go on there are nice normal people etc.

And as for them being 'ex-celebrities' that isnt true because i knew most of the people before they went in...

The whole thing is basically an ego trip for a few has-beens hoping to revive a fading career, so they brought a fat tart (Jade Goody) and some of her very strange family in to liven things up a bit, but the only one who was meant to stay was slung out almost immediately leaving only the fat one (who has a mouth to match) to stir shite and give the audience something to complain about.

yes i personally think tht some racist comments were made last night.... she said certain things which were offensive ....had somebody said the same about u and your country i am sure that you would have been offended ... now dont get me wrong we can all have a laugh and a joke, some friendly banter etc but jade &co are being right b*tches ... seems to me the 3 girls and jack have a serious lack of basic education and standards!!

urgh she's NOT being racially taunted, 7500 people almost as braindead and pathetic as Danielle and Jade Goody have called up and complained when there's NO racism!!!

She's FINE. she hasnt gone into the diary room and said "Im feeling victimised and racially attacked." THEREFORE she's fine, so we should be fine with her being fine. geddit?

they're probably trying to make it into a publicity stunt though, cos the programme's crap. i still watch it though....

This has to be the worst CBB I've ever seen. Very dull...... as for a publicity stunt....not sure that something like this will make people more interested in watching it to be honest.
