Bandh- Is a Process of Protest, and it is a part of political acts as well as the easiest way to draw attention on.
Whenever the Bandh is called for there is a social reason attached to it, so u cannot say its only political, because at times it is supported by the civils too.

As the Peaceful demands are kept aside, U well know a little child cries for hunger and then he is fed.
So, unless u cry Ur demand will not be heard.

Regarding Political bandhs and the inconvenience to the common persons I agree with u.

it is actually highly effective! stop the govt. and ruin it... that's what we did during the Swadeshi and Boycott movements
but yes, the bandhs should only be called so that critical services like hospitals are not shut down. and mamata banerjee is not Gandhiji that a fast unto death can make anyone raise their eyebrows... just lowering ur diet is no good: u have to prove urself as one among the masses

"BANDH" is not way to fulfill demand,its parties way to work without keepin ordinary people in mind..they dont keep the mass in sight and call for a bandh..bt it dont help others...political party just want to rule upon the society and wen it comes to some useful topic they never rise their voice....especiaaly in weat bengal BANDH is like a daily routine the parties call it wenever they wish which shldnt be done.
