Alternative opinions to US policy is fine. But its been my experience that there are people that ALWAYS choose against their own country as if the rest of the world is so just, free of corruption, and morally superior to the USA.

They take this country for granted, which is truly sad, because our soldiers, out there dying for our freedoms, have died in vain when it comes to these people. Most of my countrymen and women haven't even left their own state yet, and still they make the assumption that all is so terrible in the United States, when in reality, anyone living here is very, very fortunate indeed.

They honestly buy into the big lie that things are better elsewhere. If they took time away from protesting and berating Americans to visit some of those other countries, then they'd know just how great it really is here...

And the President is the head of state, so he does represent and symbolize America to the rest of the world; it's in his job description. You can't separate the current president from America. As the head of state, they are one in the same, internationally speaking.

Actually, the Middle Eastern states were colonized by Europe, and Israel was established by the UK and UN, not the US... Stop blaming America for more of this BS. You have either no real understanding of history or are completely intellectually dishonest. The US got rich based on industrialism and World War success after saving Europe's butt twice in a row. And it's a good thing nobody hates Canada... that must be why those Muslim extremists were NOT trying to assassinate members of its Parliament and carry out attacks there... wait a sec, they were... why would they do that to poor little Canada???

Even with Bush America is by far the best place to live in the world & people who ALWAYS go against the US probably should move to France or Canada. All US Presidents make mistakes but when they start making mistakes (& won't even admit them) which cost tens of 1000s of innocent civilians & US troops lives that is when most Americans will start to stop giving that President the benefit of the doubt & they will critize him until he stops repeating the same mistakes over & over again. Bush had many chances to win the war in Iraq and he did nothing but "stay the course" and now the US public is starting the put more of the blame on him rather than America itself.

As United Statesians many people are aware of the fact that the United States (not America since to say America is including all 37 American nations) is the world's leader, and that we didn't get there by always playing nice. We split Colombia, we took Florida, Cuba, Puerto Rico, etc etc. we created all the Arab nations based on what was convenient for us.. on and on. We have historically pushed our way to the top, we still do. People have always complained as we've done what we do, we still complain. However, those that set policy don't pay attention to those that complain and keep pushing our way in the world. Because of that we as United Statesians are so hated in the world. Compare us with our neighbor Canada, how come nobody hates them?

Those of us that complain against United Statesian policy of aggression would like to see us behave more like Canada and live in peace with the rest of the world.

There is a difference between criticism of political policy & critism of the United States. As an American living abroad it is my experience that opponents of U.S. forgien policy blame the nation & it's people, where as "Americans" protest the policy, but never loose their patroitism or love for their country. Look at draft dodgers & Vietnam veterns......

Maybe because lately, we ARE the problem. The rest of the world may not be perfect, but they aren't the ones playing superpower and trying to force the rest of the world to be like them. Once we get rid of Bush and his crew, we might be able to fix up some of his mistakes, but it'll take years.

America and the Bush Administration are not synonomous.

We blame the Bush Administration for its policy failures, and rightfully so.

America is democratic in the true sense. That's why freedom of speech is respected.

Maybe it is because the US should know better that these people hold their own country to higher standards.
