They are afraid to admit that they are fallible and not the perfect soldiers of God and Morality they would like the public to believe in.
Admitting you are wrong means admitting you have fault. why would they want to do such a silly thing? It is mush easier to blame Bill Clinton.

They do take the blame. Nixon resigned, Bush admitted mistakes were his, and the leaders in the House and Senate who were exposed for scandals stepped down and took responsibility.
As I remember, Harry Reid said nothing about his involvement with Jack Abramoff, Clinton said that lying in front of a grand jury was okay and having an affair in the oval office was personal, and so on...
The Baker-Hamilton report calls for more troops. Because it went against the liberal agenda, liberals are now not talking about it, or at least, the whole report.

Yeah, I like the way Bush is now telling the democrats to come up with a better plan. What does he think the Baker-Hamilton report was? Lot of good that did.

Hey, don't forget ignorant. I have some really good conservative friends who are neither cowardly or dishonest. They just listen, and believe without reading up on the facts that haven't been served up by the very effective FOX news sort of media. It's only human nature to not want to admit you have been duped.
