i believe it was entitled "VanGogh" but am not sure - its the movie about Vincent Van Gogh starring Kirk Douglas. His performance is so flawless - by the end of the movie, you are totally believing he IS VanGogh! wonderful, classic Hollywood at its best.

a more current pick is "Pollack" starring Ed Harris. excellent representation of the creative process, and its inherent problems with commercialization...
