SBC is a Phone Company. SBC has merged with AT & T. More than likely,the person who's email address ends in this,has a combination phone/email address,in which in this case,they are not Broadband,but Dial-up.

scglobal.net is the company providing your email service (your mailbox)...you could have bunches of them...It is a "nickname" for an IP - Internet Protocol - address like my 1234 Elm Street is a nickname for 12345-6789 zip code (which is "unique" in the US) so that all computers in the world, supposedly, know where it's at and can get a piece of information to it.
