Roger Milla's a legend. He was actually VOTED the official best African player over the last 50 years. I mean 42 and STILL playing international games. Even Henrik Larsson wont do that.
He wants to but no chance.
Roger Milla's footballing carreer:

YEAR CLUB
1965-70 Eclair de Douala
1970-73 Léopard de Douala
1974-77 Tonnerre Yaoundé
1977-79 Valenciennes
1979-80 AS Monaco
1980-84 Bastia
1984-86 Saint-Etienne
1986-89 Montpellier

Any way, I like to put facts on my answers so here goes:
Albert Roger Milla (Roger IS his middle name.) was born on May 20th 1952, in Yaounde, Cameroon. He is 6ft 1inch (or 1m 85cm for metric fans) and plays up-front when he played football. He was one of the 1st Africans to play in 3 world cups and in the 1994 world cup in the USA, he helped Cameroon to victory by scoring 4 goals. Douala was his 1st club, which he played for when he was 13. He had to move a lot because of his fathers railway job. He won his 1st league championship when he was 18. In 1976 he moved to Tonnerre, where he won the African footballer of the year. In 1977 he moved to Europe, and the french club, Valenciennes. He was kept on the bench for 2 years.
In1979 a move to AS Monaco was Millas next move. He was moved from the reserves list to the injury list constantly. The folowing year, He joined Bastia, but there was no luck there either. His luck came at Saint-Etienne in 1984. He then joined Montpellier from 1986 to 1989, and joined the clubs coaching staff afterwards. He first made an appearence in the Cameroon national team in 1978. He was a member of Cameroon's team at the 1982 FIFA World Cup, having a goal disallowed against Peru in their first match. Cameroon went out with 3 draws form thier 3 games. 2 years later he went to Los Angeles, California competing in the 1984 summer olympics. He retired from internation football in 1987. In 1990 The Cameroon President, Paul Biya, pleaded with him to come back. He accepted and went with the Cameroons to the 1990 world cup in Italy. The most memorable thing about Mr. Milla is that he done this cool litle dance around the corner flag-Brendan Cole Would be proud. He did this for each of his 4 goals in Italy. He scored 2 against Romania, and 2 against Colombia, to carry Cameroon to the 1/4 finals, the furthest any african club has ever done, although Senagal did just just as good in Japan/Korea in 2002. Against England in the quarter finals, though trailing 1-0, Milla set up an amazing goal to draw level, before losing the penalty shoot-out. Milla returned to the 1994 world cup in the states at the age of 42 years and 39 days, being the oldest ever international to play, and also to score. He also broke the record for the largest age difference on the same team. As Roger was 42 and 1 day (when they were recorded playing together) and Rigobert Song was just 18 years and 10 days. He is now an itinerant ambassador for African causes. In 2004, he was named to the FIFA 100, a list of the 125 greatest living footballers selected by Pelé in conjunction with FIFA's centenary celebrations. Milla wore the no.9 shirt in all 3 world cups he played in. One of the other Africans mentioned in the answers was N'koko. He was a goalie for Cameroon.

Hope this helps for all Roger Milla Fanatics. I am only 12, but i love looking back at former footballers cos I LOVE FOOTBALL!!!
