I just want to get an estimate. We would be going to casinos and seeing shows. If anyone has gone, can you just give me a ball-park figure. Thanks!

For travel from anywhere in the US to Vegas, figure a minimum of $2000 - including air, hotel, meals, and shows. You can often get a package air and hotel for about $1000 or so - depending on the time of year and the days of the week you go. (Weekends are most expensive, especially holiday ones like Memorial Day, etc. Conventions drive up the price as well.) Figure $85-$125 a ticket per show you go to, and average meal price per couple is about $50-$100 for a nice dinner. (Less if you do buffets and the food court-type restaurants.) Figure in gambling money and if you rent a car or cab it anywhere - that'll add to it as well. Rental car could be about $120 for the 5 days, and cabs, figure $15 a ride - depending on where you go.

I think that should be fine. That gives you just over $500 a day. You won't likely need too many taxis - you can walk to a lot of the things you'd want to do. You can eat pretty cheaply there as well. Some things to see/do: *Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay *Coaster and arcade at NYNY *Dolphin Habitat and Secret Garden at Mirage *Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum at Venetian (often coupons for this) *Bellagio fountains and conservatory (both free) *Mirage volcanoes (at night, free) *Treasure Island pirate show (at night, free - certainly very sexually suggestive, but there are always tons of kids there) *Stratosphere view and/or rides Mac King's Comedy Magic show might be worth checking out as well. It's a daytime show, family friendly, and reasonably priced. The Tournament of Kings dinner show at Excalibur is great - not really cheap, but not bad considering it's a dinner and show combination There are often coupon books in the taxis, and also at the hotel concierge desk. Pick up one of those, and you'll see some discounts for some of these attractions.

It depends on when you go, and where you are coming from. I fly from Dallas and get tickets from 225 for 3 day/2night hotel and air (sometimes). I have never paid over 400 for hotel/air. If America West flies from your area, their national Hub is in Vegas - lots of good rates.

I stay at Stratosphere or New York New York mostly. not the nicest, but clean and great services there. If you plan on gambling - SET A BUDGET/LIMIT it ($$$) goes faster than you think. remember, drinks are free in the casino (lol) Have a great time!!

It depends on the time of year. Right now there are alot of special rates and in the summer when it's well over 100 degrees, there are also special rates. Shows are pretty pricey, most of the good ones are $100+ a person.

Checkout biddingfortravel.com under Las Vegas for info on hotels and/or rental cars at great prices. (I am not affiliated with this website, it has just saved me tons of money over the years)

When my friend & I went last January (from Hartford, CT) it was about $420 per person. I would guess that for 5 days, depending on what hotel you stay in it hsould be around 600-700. We only went for 4 days so it was cheaper. Try Expedia.com....they have really good deals.
and don't bother renting a car!!! You can walk everywhere!!! Have fun! :)

shows are $60 for cheap seats, you need to get those when you first get there

I just went with a bunch of people for flights and hotel it was $650 for four days, three nights. food is normal price. the bars and clubs (studio 54 is fantastic) are expensive. But overall it's not a bad deal. Lots of walking, bring your sneakers. :-) Over all I spend about $900 but I didn't gamble cause I lose...alot :-) Have fun!

Depends on what you like and where you stay. Off-strip you can save quite a bit. Look to spend about $1000-3500.

For my brother and I to fly from Toronto and stay 5 nights was about $2400. Everything included. That's Canadian prices.
