One week ago I bought a HP Pavilion a1620n with Windows XP Media Center Edition with Service Pack 2. It won't let me install Active X for the coupon print manager. It tells me to click on the blue shield to allow Active X to install, but the blue shield is not there. I have the Internet Explorer Tools, Security at defalut leverls and privacy at medium. I even tried lowering the privacy and allowing everything in the security to see what was blocking it, but continured to get the same message. Can someone please help me get Active X? I have tried HP Tech and they can't find a solution and Microsoft won't help, because WIndows was pre-installed on the computer.
Thanks,
Shirley

lol, gotta love microsoft. try going into your IE settings (internet explorer) and allowing acitve x, Tools-internet options-advanced. now this is dangerous, but you could try turning off every form of security your have and then installing it.

If you've got Internet Explorer, you've got ActiveX, it might not be enabled, but you've got it. Please be careful if you must enable it. By allowing ActiveX you become susceptible to every site you surf to that has a drive-by-download to install on your system.
