No the leather has already been tanned to that color. the leather
will not absorb the white polish

No polish won't do it, but look for some leather dye. You might have to make a phone call or two to locate it, but strip the shoe first with alcohol and a rag then use the leather dye. Finish by applying the polish.

Not if you like your clothes! Shoe pollish always rubs off. You need some clear leather wax which is fit for sofas. There are natural alternatives but in the long term the proper stuff will make your couch last much longer.

Try spray paint! Ihave done this to shoes back in my 'Bar' days. I have also used a hot glue gun to affix cool animal prints to shoes and purses. Good Luck!
