im looking for the name of the movie that bette middler played janis joplin in.im trying to get it from limewire.i tthought the name of the movie was the rose but there is nothing coming on limewire about it.can anyone tell me if its under another title and please let me know.

Movie is called "The Rose" where the plot outline was the story of the tragic life of a self destructive female rock star, modelled after Janis Joplin. The character was Mary Rose Foster, imdb.com is the best for movie stuff (put it in your favourites)

The movie you are seeking is called The Rose . One of the reason you may be having problems finding it on Limewire is two fold. It came out in 1979. It may not have every been transfered to DVD. Two Popularity. If it not a popular film ,no one would have uploaded to Limewire . Yahoo movies indicated that it is on DVD for purchase.

I don't think she ever played Janis Joplin in a movie, but in "The Rose" she played Mary Rose Foster.
