There are untold benefits to the legalization of Cannabis.

If it were legal, the law enforcement could focus on real crime.
It is so easy to track pot, and bust for it, but the stuff that destroys homes, families, minds, health and communities is allowed to flourish.
I've never heard of a house having to be torn down because someone smoked pot in it.

The poppy fields of Afghanistan are alive and well, and heroin has made an alarming come back. This would be a good thing for Law Enforcement of all stages to focus on...

All drugs should be legal for several reasons:

1) Crime: Any drug in high demand is going to carry a criminal element with it when it is illegal. We don't hear about alcohol smuggling or people being shot over a pack of cigarettes for a reason.

2) Safety: Those who grow, create and deal in illegal drugs are not known for their research and development departments. Even when legal drugs are sold illegally, there is the knowledge that the legally made drug is not laced with dangerous fillers.

Those so inclined to indulge might think twice if a warning label said "This substance known to cause heart failure in otherwise healthy individuals."

3) Taxation: Tobacco and alcohol are taxed and those monies are used to subsidize the health care system among other things. Currently, taxpayers shell out a great deal of money directly and indirectly to deal with the illegal drug trade. The consequences of that trade include, but are not limited to, the crimes committed to obtain the drug and the cost of state-mandated rehabilitation programs.

Of course it should.People smoke it all the time so it might as well be legal. I dont see why its illegal anyways, its not dangerous like meth or heroine or crack or anything. So I say make legal dammit!! And if everyone smoked pot the world would be a better place cause everyone would be so mellow.

Not completely and it depends on what environment you are using it in, plus your age and experience. Kid`s smoking it is not good, they have no idea of how to handle themselves.

No - because then we'd have more people stoned driving. Then they'll claim that they weren't stoned when they test positive - they'll claim that they hadn't smoked in days....
