I'm only 23-this is something my parents/grandparents do!

I am 23 too, and I take a nap everyday, is the healthier thing to do, it helps to digest food better than if you walk and you get a very good rest. It also helps taking the stress out of you, so go and take a nap!!!!!!!!!!!!! (the doctors recomend that the nap lasts 1 hour, no more nor less).

Ive always liked naps too:)(im 26) I thinks its pretty widely accepted that most people experience a dip in energy levels in the early afternoon. And in many hotter countries its part of their culture to nap through the hotter parts of the day.

Why not? I have four lids under 9, so GETTING a nap is my only issue. Some people like to read. Some like vidoe games. Some like to smoke crack. You like to sleep. Big deal. As long as society doesnt have to support you while you take naps, I mean, if youre an otherwise productive person, who are you hurting? And who cares what anyone thinks!

Yes! And do it while you still can. When you have kids those days are OVER and you will long for the chance to nap. Maybe your grandparents are sleeping to catch up on all the lost sleep from their child-rearing days!

Seriously though, your body sends very clear signals when it needs sleep to recharge. Some people need more sleep than others. If someones body needs sleep it's nothing to look down on them for. It's a God-given instinct.

An afternoon nap is supposed to be really good for you, so yes go ahead and have your nap.

I think its a great idea. I wish I could take a daily afternoon nap.

napping is ok as long as it is a 20-30 minute nap (power nap). you should slowly fall asleep within a half hour. if you knock out as soon as your head hits the pillow...ur sleep deprived. if you have a hard time waking up from ur nap after 30 minutes...ur sleep deprived. most of us are. including me!!

I think that it is ok. In south america they regularly take a nap in the afternoon. They call it a siesta.

in japan they have what they call nap holes. the business men crawl into these small holes ( look like cubicles ) with a mat and nap. ITS very good to re energize your brain I try to take one every afternoon with my kids

It's great work if you can get it. It's a fact we tend to slow down in the afternoon, soooooo nap away and refuel!!
