I have recently moved from the suburbs to the city and I have noticed evidence of rats outside close to my house. I just dont want them getting in! If I saw one in my house, I might have a heart attack and die!!

yes they can, but seldom do...if you see sign outside thats not a problem, excpet you need to eliminate any harborage you can, and keep garbage tightly closed, dont leave pet food out etc. If theyre thick call the city and complain.

And in case you discover out it did come by the rubbish disposal your mom will provide up freaking? O/o Nah. they can't. If sufficiently small, they can go back by the small openings alongside the pipes, yet no longer by the pipes, except your pipes are damaged and do not artwork. extra likely it got here by a doorway with an starting up below it, or maybe as someone left the door open, because it truly is so fantastic out. yet, isn't your authentic question a thanks to get rid of it? i'd bypass with the apparent, seize it - assuming it truly is no longer poisonous - and then take it outdoors, yet i think it truly is no longer only your mom freaking out. Soooo, ummmm? were given some thing hostile to calling animal administration to have the snake bumped off?

They can climb up from the sewer through the waste pipe, and easily negotiate a u-bend. A rat can squeeze under a door with as little as 10mm gap underneath, so beware!

From there its only a short leap to nippy-arseville!

There was recently a newspaper article about it happening somewhere in Arizona..but most rats are WAYYYY too big and they would have to swim uphill thru water for long distances... and thru drain pipe openings of 4 inches or less....I wouldn't be too worried ...but call your health department for recommendations for your area ...those rats need to be taken gotten rid of one way or another...
