I would like to share thoughts with good baseball people not those who just say that a certain team "sucks" just because they don't like them. Need the names are the "expert" baseball people so we can all develope a relationship once the season begins. Who are they?

There are a few excellent people you want to hook up with. Among them are Katalex, Georgie Porgie, Ozgard, Craig S, ynke#7, but the one I enjoy the most is The Mick "7". He gives great answers to sometimes pretty complex questions. If you just hang out in the baseball section long enough you will pick up on these people.

I'm kind of new around here too, but baseball is by far my favorite topic. I get sick of all the "Which team is better, Red Sox or Yankees?" questions too. I try not to be a huge homer, but I do feel like I have to represent the White Sox sometimes. Welcome. Sorry, don't know many by name yet. Just an FYI: Most teams have at least one blog that has thoughtful analysis of the game. For instance the White Sox have www.southsidesox.com. If you want to hang with just fans of your own team too, they have links to the other teams' blogs as well. During the season, I spend half my day there.

You'll see a fair share of the "Yankees suck" type of fan, but there are some really good ones in here, too. The list that Kay - a smart person herself - posted is a good one, and I'd probably list Mick as my personal favorite, too.

You'll find some people who think they know more than they really do, but a lot of us are probably guilty of that. But you'll definitely find some fair and knowledgeable fans on here, just as on most baseball boards. I could live without the constant homerism and team-bashing that rules some threads, but you have to take the bad with the good.

Hope to see you around during the season.

I'd like to think I'm definitely someone you could do some serious baseball talk with. I'm a huge fan of the game and have been since I was old enough to comprehend it.

My dad is a huge fan so while most kids got fairy tales for bedtime stories, I got stories about the Yankees and Willie Mays and the Miracle Mets of '69.

When I got a little order he surprised me with a glove he'd bought for me at a flea market, it was used but that was great for me because it was already broken in. He also bought a brand new copy of "Field of Dreams" -- it had just come out on video and we watched it and then played catch all afternoon -- I know it sounds lame, but it's real.

I've been hooked on baseball ever since. Just ask all of my friends who are sick of hearing me talk about it 24/7/365. I have my own blog dedicated to baseball and I ran a website for awhile until all of my partners flaked out and we shut down because it gets really hard for one guy to run a website.

I'm a huge Twins fan, but I was born and raised to love the Mets and Yankees. I live in Boston and love Big Papi. I'm one of twelve Barry Bonds fans--outside of San Fran--left on the planet.

I'd rather watch the Rockies play the Pirates on a 13 inch black and white TV in April than watch the NBA Finals from a front row seat or the Super Bowl from a Skybox on the 50-yard-line.

I love this game and I take it seriously. If you want to talk baseball...I'm your guy!

I´m a Yankee fan at heart. But i love baseball most. Any good talking about baseball, count with me. I´m not good in english, because my first language is spanish, and i live in Guatemala so i did not practice my english too much, but i try to made me understand, and enjoy lots of writing and talking about the best sport in the world. Again, count with me.

Well, I'm relatively new to Yahoo Answers, but I try my best not to let my personal opinions (huge yankees fan) overshadow or influence my answers. I stay away from questions whose response call for simple "Red Sox Suck" "Yankees Blow" answers and prefer more thought than simple locker room chest pounding. I'll admit though, I hate Barry Bonds with a passion. I'd love to be on your list.

If you want to talk White Sox or Mariners I'm the girl. I'm a White Sox fan but am living in Seattle so I go to alot of Mariners games.

p.s. But if you're a Cubs fan sorry you'll have to put up with the usual crosstown cr*p:)

If you have questions about how the game is actually played, then Ryan R is the person you're looking for.
