if you go to this link, you will see another question. Notice how most of the people against her are men. dont you think thats a little odd? i myself support her for making such an achievement as the third most powerful governmental figure in the us. now the president and vice president both need to die so we will have a woman president! yay!
many ppl think everyone has equal rights and such. that men and women are equal. this however is sadly very untrue. I have seen so many women waste away their lives in attempt to make men happy, and, although we can legally have whatever job we want, we still cant. such as walmart...i saw a documentary in which a woman was working for walmart for years. so she applied for a management version. the man in charge of hiring told her he didnt want 'people like her in management". she asked him if it was because shes a woman or black, and he said way to kill 2 birds with one stone.
just wanna know ppl's oppinions.
im prob gunna be bitched out too...

Nancy Pelosi is the direct result of the failed Neocon policies that were forced on to America the last 6 1/2 years. That is the most embarrassing factor of this Neocon movement and failure, it's their fault they made history for the women's movement. Hillary for President in 08.

She rocks...and you're right, we are not equal. We don't make the same pay as the men do, men are treated differently in the work place. Its sad but it's true. Having a woman her position is quite an achievement, and don't worry about getting bitched out, some people are misinformed and ignorant, but unfortunately they are entitled to freedom of speech too...it's mostly men slandering her, makes me wonder why they are so intimidated by a WOMAN in power.
Not all men are, but most of what I've seen on here is very negative. They don't have a clue as to what it's like to hold down a job, keep house, raise a family, sometimes alone, sometimes with a husband who is about as much help as another kid. They won't understand until they are able to do those things themselves, and they never will because they can't give birth.
Great question!

Sexism is alive and well. Not all men are sexist. There are women who are also sexist against women in the work force.
If a man is successful people will say it's because he is assertive and aggressive.
If a woman is successful it's usually said it's because she is a B**ch.
Just remember with any pioneer there is going to be many who are against. Look at Christopher Columbus how many countries turned him down before he was able to get support. Nancy is the pioneer in the fact that she is the first woman to hold such an important office. There will be many who oppose her because she is a woman. There are those who oppose her because of her political affiliation.
I guess she said it best when she said, "breaking the marble ceiling."

Well, might be she's because the entire illegals and counting humans with more than one jobs more than one occasions, lol. But, I do not simplest suppose we want a brand new residence speaker, I suppose there are plenty of politicians who want exchanging, Obama integrated. That stimulus kit used to be a whole funny story, and there may be such a lot cash that the nation is losing, its unhappy.

All kidding about Bush and Cheney dying, why would you want Pelosi as President? I am a woman and I don't like her politics, she is nasty and vindictive and her pettiness weakened the Homeland Security committee because she didn't choose the best person for the job as chairperson, she chose a political crony... and yes, she bypassed a highly qualified woman for this powerful position.
Politics is not about equality, it is about the best person for the job. But Pelosi is not the best politician, she is another member of the same club or powerful people who care about what they can get out of government, not about what she do can to make government better.
I was happy a woman finally made it to be the Speaker of the House, but I was saddened it was Nancy Pelosi, there are other woman better suited to accept that challenge.

ANYONE--other than another right-wing nutjob acquiring that position is a change for the good. Nancy is level headed and has not easily forgotten the abuse the Democratic Party had to endure under (R) House leadership.

the answer to this is very simple. in all but ONE state that had ballot initiatives that involved gay marriage, affirmative action and any other San Francisco value the initiatives were put down by an overwhelming majority (that means men and women) Pelosi is a spokes person for those type values so if you think that the majority of the people dont want her values but want her as the third in line for the president, then you are showing that you support her just because she is female which implies hypocrisy.

Republicans have a long History of demonizing smart and strong women. Look at how they hate Hillary. That hatred has made her very wealthy. Peliosi can and will be subjected to the same hate and demonetization.

I am conservative but I am taking a wait and see approach. I don't know enough about her politics to give an opinion. I hope she does a good job. As far as conservatives bashing strong intelligent women, I have two words for you Condoleezza Rice! She happens to be smarter than Hillary or Nancy and that is FACT.

If you want to look a as woman in high places you can be proud of Condi Rice. She is smart. She got there by herself (not like Hillary). She is doing a great job in the face of mounting cry babies.
Nancy on the other hand......is an idiot. I mean a complete idiot. Very attractive for 60 something, but an idiot.

Don't put the sexist tag just on the men. Many women are for her simply because she's female.
And please tell us where you saw this "documentary." You do realize that many things put out there as "documentaries" are simply people's opinions, exaggerations, misdirections, and plain out lies.
Nancy Pelosi is a horrible politician, a corrupt person, and has no leadership skills. I'd feel the exact same way about her whether or not she has a uterus.
