Man utd was better because, both sides were chasing a Treble,Bayern Munich were already sure of winning the treble.But ManUtd with 1 minute left still did not believe they lost that game and could still score 2 goals within a minute.Please tell me anywhere you can see a team do that.And just at the end of the match this are the words that were said"English Champions European Champions Winners of the FA cup everything their hearts desired imagine that feeling compared to coming from 3 goals down to win a match.Even in Everyday football of the Premiership teams do that so United's own was the greatest

Incidentally I am a Liverpool fan but I've got to disagree with the above poster. I know a Normal Time Win is all the more secured if you win the game straight and dominate it and it seems all the more an achievement.
But don't you think playing a game right down to the wire, every second becoming more and more nervous, shots and saves going everywhere makes a game so much more exhilirating. Then if your team win, seeing them all run to the keeper and celebrating, I think that makes a game so much more alive, it really brings out the passion in the players.
To the question...I didn't see the Man U game as I was only 8 and wasn't into football. So I'll have to go Liverpool, also on the basis that you could see how much passionate football was played that night, it was such a good game let alone the comeback!

I am a England Fan,so I support all the 4 teams in the champions league and the 3 english teams in the UEFA cup,I have to tell u that milan lverpool game was the best game ever,liverpool comeback was different from man uts comeback,liverpool were 3 goals down(real comeback) but man utd were 1 goal down(so basicly its not a real comeback if u were only 1 goal down)

Both finals were brilliant in their own right, Manchester United`s comeback from 1 - 0 down to win 2 - 1, to win in extra time WONDERFUL and a TREBLE AMAZING. Liverpool to come back after being 3 - 0 down when it (looks (to coin a phrase) all over)to Draw 3 - 3, then to go on to win (it is now) with penalties that was AWESOME. I must admit to being a fan of both clubs always have been and always will be.

great question our kid. they where both excellent games and great comebacks. the thing i liked about the utd comeback was the way it ramed some of the german arrogance down their throats. i couldnt beleve basler celibrating with the fans when the game wasnt even over. so i was actually glad to see utd scoring the 2 goals in injury time.
saying that i'm a liverpool fan and i have to tell you that was one of their greatest ever comebacks. they where completely stuned at half time and i have to tell you i had given up all hope. i was desolate. it was so bad even my utd supporting wife wouldnt take the piss out of me as she usally does when liverpool are beiong beaten. she thought i would have burst into tears if she had have started on me. when liverpool scored the 3 goals you could seen all the beleif going out of milan. as soon as the extra time was over you just knew liverpool where the only winners as they seemed to be the more hungrier of the 2 teams. have to say i cried my lamps out when stevie g lifted that cup above his head.

I am a Liverpool supporter.
Of course I am biased, but I would say Liverpool's comeback was better. At 3-0 to Milan the game was over. At 1-0 to Munich the game could still go either way.
Both teams rode their luck & both were great comebacks. If anyone slags off either comeback then they are obviously biased.
25 May was the best night in my entire life.

Both were brilliant. Liverpool's had that 3 goal comeback, and also that save from Dudek in extra time.
But I think Man United's was better. They were brilliant that season, and they topped it off with 2 late late goals after being 1-0 down.

Man Utd's by far, I think it was down to luck for Liverpool but with Man Utd's it was pure talent & hunger to win. I throughly enjoyed watching Man Utd win that trophey & i was running around my living room screaming, even though i'm a Chelsea fan, Man Utd are my second team & they deserved to win the CL more than Liverpool did. Like i said, luck shone down on Liverpool, while Man Utd had to work bloody hard & it will go down as 1 of my fave games.
