Does anyone know how to clean a natural sandstone fireplace?

Its just recently built and it needs cleaning to bring up the stone.

If its soot and coal stained use brick and patio cleaning acid mixed 5 parts water to 1 part acid scrub with a hard brush and dry as you go with a dry clean cloth, you may have to do it a couple of times.

Use a solution of salt and vinegar and scrub the stone then leave for a few hours and rinse off.

Steam clean it, looks grate after.
