He probably wants to date you and is testing the water... he's probably jealous of not having all your time and attention but wants it again. I would go with talk to him and see what he means as mine as just guesses as being a guy. He's probably just in his own way shy and afraid you'll say no to him, but talk to him still

have the two of you ever fooled around together before he made the comment? someone saying 'you my girl' sounds more like a statement of friendship than intro to relationship... he was probably just annoyed, thinking you were blowing him off but he didn't want to make too big a deal out of it; he just wanted you to know that he needs you in his life (guys rarely come right out and say that they need anything, especially when they are young).

He sounds crazy, possessive, unstable, overly aggressive, and you might want to tell him to back off until you guys sit down and have a discussion, communication about what you want and what he wants..and if he cant meet your terms for whatever it is you want, tell him he is one of 10million potentially suitable mates. Dont settle, dont take any crap, be strong, and check this fool.

You may want to ask him. He is really the only one who can decipher what he says. No one else knows exactly what he is thinking. Just simply ask him how he meant what he said and what he thinks is going on between you two.

Maybe it could be meant as a friendly gesture like if it were one of his guy friends he'd most likely say "My bro's" Just a guess...
