No. I'm an African American who's mixed with a few things, but when asked to check off that little box, I'm strictly Black. I'm viewed as Black to others and that's the way it is.

In this day and age it is a rare person that is pure anything. You are assumed to be the race that you look most like. If it bothers you go to Flordia they will assume you are cuban, go to NY they will think you are Puerto RIcan. Think of the people from the far east. How many Chinese get mistaken for Japanese or Korean.
Enjoy you blend and learn to have fun with all the parts your ancestors gave you. BTW I know some mexicans with blonde hair and green eyes and they get irritated when people don't know they consider themselves mexican.

Most people I know are mixed.I'm German,Dutch, some type of indian, and some African American along the way. You'd think I'd have a bit darker skin or something that would show, but I'm pale white...I just realized how bad I need a tan.

People usually don't believe that I am part American Indian because I have light skin, blond hair and blue eyes, my Great Grandfather was 100 percent American Indian. I usually don't tell people because I will have to sit there and explain, and sometimes I just don't feel like it.

Just because you have those nationalities in your background doesn't mean you should look like each one.
