Wow, let's not all be frontrunners and jump on the Gilbert Arenas boat. He is having a great year, that's it. If and Once he maintains this level of offensive play for another year or two consecutively (or conversely leads the Wizards strongly in the playoffs), then I say he should be considered top 5. But the greatest?? No way. He is good offensively and has flashes of defensive potential, but he lacks the consistency required for one to be called the "greatest" or the "best" in the league. He also lacks the intangibles that the best players (such as Kobe or Lebron or Wade) have inbred in them. I'll give him props though, and I like the guy (thought he was a great draft pick, underrated, and that the Golden Suck Warriors were imbeciles for trading him). Right now I put him on the same level as Dwight Howard.

He is a great player, top 3, but with what he does for the community in the Washington DC area, he is number 1 by far! If u hate on Arenas and dont know what he does for the community search it, when you finally finish reading everything you will realize how special of a player he is. He is a little cocky on the court, but he has the right to be. Atleast he doesnt cry EVERYTIME he misses a shot (LeBron) or criticize players that have a great game against his team (Kobe). He wears the number 0 since thats how many minutes he was suppposed to get at Arizona. So to come from that to where he is now he is a great player. And once fans start voting for All-star players based on performance and not popularity (Shaq...how are you a starter with 4 games played all season? averaging 14.0 pts 7.5 rebs in those 4 games) Sorry had to vent a little...Bottom line Arenas will probably be #2 when it comes time to vote for MVP, Nash will get his 3rd in a row

I don't think anybody can really argue that Kobe is the best solo player out there. Steve Nash is probably the best team player in the game. Gilbert is in my top 5 though. I have it like this Nash Bryant James Arenas Wade Since I am a Portland fan, hopefully Brandon Roy will be a superstar in a couple of years

YES!

Thank you for realizing what good is.

He is a team player and still puts up 50 points.

I quote Marv Albert " Gilbert Arenas, open from 38, GOOD"

He is on my fantasy team.

He is on a team of ball hogs

Hell no! Until he plays defense, make teammates better, lead team deep into the playoffs, and win a ring, HELL NO. He won't win the MVP award also. F**K his stats, Kobe had better stats across the board last season(35 points-per, 81 points in single game, 43.3 points-per for the month of January during 2005-2006 season, need I say more.)
