If you are old enough, sure, go get one. I waited till I was 18 and then got one. Its your own body. Do what you want.

how old are you? I'm 22 and I pierced when I was 14 without my parents ever finding out. If you can get it done professionally I will just to do it that way since if you do it yourself you can do it crooked. I go it done professionally there a lot of places that they just don't care about parent's permission. I think if you really want to your going to do it anyway regardless of what anyone says.

NO! If you do, and you sound quite mature, really want this done. You should tell your parents how you feel, and explain to them that if you don't get there consent that you are seriously considering doing it anyway but it would mean alot to you that they will say it is ok. If you are under 16 (or 18 in some places) then you should tell them that you will wait but you WILL do it when it is legal. If you do it without there consent you have to hide it which is not the reason you should have a piercing. Hope this helps! xxx

How old are you? Last time i knew, you had to be a certain age to get a peircing. So how would you get one, would you have some other unresponsible parent go in there. Nevertheless you should contact your parents about it. So that way they will know, i'm sure they'll have minor concerns. Why do you want one when you don't need one. Do you like to display your abdomin alot? Do you think your sexy or what? Is it going to have a diamond in it. No matter what my friend you need to tell your folks, because they will find out nevertheless.

Let me see if I understand what you're asking.
"Should I do something really dumb that my parents dissapprove of... without telling them. Knowing that they will definately find out and will then have to deal with the situation I created."
And you want this navel piercing because why?

I'm not sure how old you are - but I think that you need to ask them. Here where I live, if you are a minor, you can't get a piercing without a parents permission and signature.

Let your conscience be your guide. If you feel you should let your parents know, that is an indication what your parents think is important to you and that is a good thing. Tell them, their response may surprise.
My parents became very receptive to many of my notions when they realized I care what they think and respect their opinions. We don't always agree but I feel better when I am honest and up front with my parents.

You shouldn't go behind your parent's backs. If you really want it so badly, you should be able to wait until you're an adult.
