Everyone is under the impresion that south africa is a poor country with only blacks and lions runnig around!!
Well thats not true! i live in soouth africa yeah we do have the poor and dangerous areas but every country does....were are not like any other county in africa we have beutifull malls...gold reef city luxurios hotels!and yeah there are whites!allot.....i relly just want you to go on the net...type in menlyn canal walk and south africa just to see that were not one big jungle...please i want a better name for my country please1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
What do you think about this statement that people make? and if u've been to south africa what do you think??

Firstly thumbs up! Secondly, I live in South Africa too (In Joburg actually) and I can agree with you 100% on this! SA is a great country and i would not like to live anywhere else! As a matter of fact, I will not live anywhere else! It's amazing what people who have never been here think of this place! Some people don't even know as much as you have mentioned-like while I was studying overseas, I had people ask me where I was from and when I responded South Africa, they were like, 'ok, but what part?' Lol! They like think South Africa is Southern Africa and don't know that it's a country! Oh well, for those of you who are still proudly South African-good on you and may you all remain the way you are! Take care:-)

Never ever been to S. Africa, but I can imagine that you have the suburbs, rural land to farm, and the projects, I know you have great people there black and white, male and female, christians, muslims, jews it all. The people you hear talking about poor black people and giraffes and so forth only see what America permits them to see on TV. Be greatful every day that you have experienced life, traveling really does broaden your horizon

I'm from there, but I now live in Australia, people think that, but then again, some South Africans think in Australia it's just Kangaroos running around.

The Europeans think that we live in mud shacks and have lions roaming down the street because they are thick.yeah hell SA have some pretty dangerous spots,but at the end of the day it is beautiful.i am living in England now but am returning home at the end of this month.for me there is no better place to live in than SA with crime and all
