I heard that this is how the dogs see the world.
So what is the purpose of seeing the world as it is, ie why have we being evolved to see all the colours? Or are there colours we dont see, like not certain sounds of some wave lengths

We would perhaps drive through a lot of red lights and get in more traffic accidents...although red is the top light and green the bottom light, so even if you are color blind you should still know when to stop and go...It was my understanding with a zoological hobby for twenty years or so, that when an animal is diurnal, in other words up and active primarily during daylight hours, there is a much greater chance in that living being having color vision.

You see, at night, nocturnal animals, with the reduced light colors are not as easy to distinguish. Reds, greens, look black or shades of gray. So then what would be the point of a poisonous to eat animal or venomous animal advertising its deadliness with bright, loud colors? This would be a very good question and I am not sure I know the answer to it unless the animals that get the warning see color. Why would flowers have bright, vibrant colors of pollinators like hummingbirds and insects do not see color?

From what I understand dogs do see some color, just not as much as people do. Dogs are more keen on sent and hearing and so that is the order of their senses. They usually smell someone and hear them long before they see them, therefore there sight is not as advanced.
Insects see some ultraviolet colors that we do not see, it helps them know where to land on flowers.
