The outcomes of the matches are predetermined and much of the "fighting" is "fake". However, the degree of actual physical damage that is taken by the athletes far exceeds anything done in films.

all of that stuff is fake! They plan who's gonna win way before the match and even though one loses and the other wins they still get paind the same amount just for putting on a goos show. But there is one thing that is real. They are a loud to hurt each othe as much as they want just as long as one of them loses on cue.

It is planned and choreographed but injuries do occur. The wrestlers try not to injure each other. You can't fake Jumping off the top of a 15 ft cage and landing on someone.

pro wrestling is pre-determined. The writer picks the winner of the match. The bumps the wrestlers take are real and serious injuries can occur. Look at what to Triple H he is out for 4-6 months

Well, it depends on your definition of fake. The falls that they take are real and the blood you see is real( they hide razor blades and cut their heads). How do you fake taking a fall off a 20 foot steel cage? The storylines are all fake and made up to make you watch. Its sort of like a soap opera for men. They know who is going to win each match and how long each match will continue for.

okay, first of all to answer your question, wrestling is fake. well for the most part anyways. all the "storylines" are planned out. same for the matches. theres a "booker" in the back that tells them who is going to win, and how long they have. BUT. the injuries that they take are real. mankind falling off a 20 foot cage is real, look at triple h, hes out for 4 to 6 months from recovering from surgery he just had.
and as for all the idiots saying that its real. have any of you guys actually ever read one of the wrestlers books??? do you check on wikipedia for any information at all? or do you just go to wwe.com and believe every single word that they say.

They don't really beat each other like animals -- they act out parts so that you'll think that's what they're doing.
The blood is fake (either from a burst makeup sac or the wrestler "blading" himself) and many of the injuries are faked. Of course accidents do happen and occasionally someone does get hurt, but that's usually the result of a mistake being made by someone.

The outcomes are fake, the moves are somewhat real and at least 1/2 of the injuries are real.
If it were 100% real the average wrestlers career would be 3 shows.

its all fake and meant to entertain little minds (By little I dont mean agewise) that get impressed with this nonsense.
The wrestlers I bet have a miserable life once they are finished with their careers in a couple of years. Dementia, Parkinsons, Internal organ failure, brain damage are some of the illnesses they can look forward to. Just because some peole derive pleasure from watching other people getting beaten up.
But hey the money they spin is great and people with little education and masisve physical bodies (fed on steroids and artificial hormones) with no other career options would jump for it. Besides the TV channels that air it, the advertisers that sponsor it and the hundreds of agents that live off it love it.

well, it is all scripted, they are acting when they talk. they rehearse together and everything, and all of them are like best friends in real life. although it is scripted, it can be risky. sometimes things can go wrong, like doing a move wrong and hurting the person even more. a lot of the moves though do hurt, but they are trained to take it. like in hardcore matches, when they fall on tacks, it's real. you can see the tacks pierce the skin.
i hope this helps =]
