It is an individual thing and if you have the right partner, sex in the 40s can be better than the teen years, you are not inexperienced, not as timid and you know what you like and don't like. Personally, I am having the time of my life and I do believe an active sex life keeps you young, I am 45 with three grown children and I have been told I don't look or act a year over 38, go figure. Oh and that is another thing, my kids are grown, we have the whole house to ourselves. (Don't picture this with a Polaroid.)

It depends on the person, their hormones, if they are going through menopause etc, most women are at this age and there sex drive usually suffers because of it. Keep in mind that it is not their fault that they are feeling this way, its not always a choice to be non sexual.
I went through menopause in my early 30s and had to have a hysterectomy because of a medical problem that caused early onset of this condition.
. My sex drive suffered because of this and because of the Hormone therapy I was on.
I am now in my early 40s and unfortunately not getting enough!!

all women are different. some have a declining hormone, so it might decrease and other have the same amount and so it might increase their sex drive, when they are not worried anymore about a unwanted pregnancy anymore.

According to sceince a woman doesn't reach sexual maturity until 30. After that its much like 18 year boy. She's just gotten her sex drive. Of course by this time she's probably starting to get arthritis and all sorts of other things like menopause so she acutally miss out on the sex thing all together. IF she's married then she probably definately doesn't have much of a sex drive by then.
