My daughter has an issue with peeing the bed. And we have a waterproof pad, but even after washing it, it still smells like pee.

What sort of cleaner can I use to get the smell out of the sheet and mattress pad?

The only thing that will work is washing it with bleach and hot water.

I found a product at Wal-Mart called OdoBan. Its an inexpensive way to go. It has a eucalyptus scent and gets rid of the dog pee smell in my puppy's cage so I am sure it would work on the bed pad. Good Luck.

When my toddler has had the flu and had messes other than urine (yuck), I've added vinegar to the load of laundry. I already use it in place of fabric softener, but I also add some (not sure how much exactly) directly to the load. I have never had odours linger after doing that.

You didn't mention how old your daughter is, but be careful using any harsh chemicals to clean her bedding. It just isn't healthy, especially when her bedding is something that she's in regular contact with, and for extended periods of time (i.e., overnight).

The mattress pad, if its plastic, spray it with windex and wipe it down. It goes under the sheet anyway so she's not in contact with it. The sheet should be okay if you wash it on hot with lots of powder.

I have washed Items like this in Lemon scented pine sol or other lemon scented cleaner. I add it to the washer and it makes things smell better. I taught my mother this when she was washing the clothes from her mother that would be soiled from the nursing home.

Not to be rude, honestly, it isn't just your nose? If you have washed and washed it and you can still smell it just throw it out and give her some new sheets.

I agree with Deeshair. Odoban is great on urine odors.
