maybe it's because that song is about her wanting to get back with the guy and saying that their love was good. If she was in an abusive relationship why would she want to get back with him or fall in love with him again. That song isn't the best choice and maybe she feels like you are saying she should have stayed in the relationship. Confront her and tell her you didnt realize she would feel so strongly about the song and then change songs, your friendship isn't worth a dumb song.
