A Paper Clip is a graphical way of telling you their is an attached filed in your email. If your creating the email then it's where you click to add files!!!
Always be care full of these, if it's from an untrusted source such as a friend that you really know, then it may be a virus, always have up to date anti-virus protection before opening any email. Free anti-virus can be obtained from Avast.com, they are a very good company and offer more updates then Symantec or McAfee!!!

It means that there is a file attached to the message. Picture it like opening an envelope and reading a letter. You see a paperclip on the corner of the paper. What do you do? You look behind the letter to see what's "attached" to it. Same thing, but on a computer. Find the key labelled (Open attachment (or something like that). If not, simply double-click the paperclip or the file next to it.

Some document is attached to the email. Unless you recognize the sender of the email or are expecting an attachment I would not attempt to open the attachment. Unfortunately, attachments to emails are probably the most common way that virus's and trojans are spread on the internet.
If you are expecting the attachment, or know who sent it, the easiest way to view the document is to right click your mouse on the paperclip and then choose the open option.

It means that the e-mail has an "attachment". The means someone has added a picture or other type of file to the email. If you click on the paperclip, you should get an option to download the attached file to your computer so you can see and use it.

It means that there is an attachment (such as a document or picture) with the email.
Be careful to only open attachments from people you know and trust. A lot of virus's are spread by people opening attachments they know nothing about.

It means theres an attatchment, it could be a photo or pdf document.
Usually theres an option to virus scan it before you open it. Never bother if the e-mail is from someone you don't know, just delete the e-mail and attatchement without opening or reading it.
Even if you know who sent the e-mail you should never open it without scanning with your anti virus; some viruses send themselves without your friend knowing!
