I've seen many leftists complain about righties wanting to "impose their morals upon the masses".
I can see your point...but my question is:
If the Democrats are in power, will they or will they not be imposing their values on everyone? Example: Legalized Abortion, Gun Control, Stem Cell Research, etc.
While those things may have good intentions, in reality, those items (values) will be forced upon the masses.
Is this just another case of Liberal Hypocrisy?
As a side question...how long will it take until I'm reported for this question? I've found those who disagree with me will abuse the report button.

Additionally, why do Democrats in congress speak badly about rich people when they are, infact, rich themselves?
Are people not entitled to work hard and make themselves rich? When has that become a crime?
Seems to me that those who aren't rich are upset that they would have to work to make a fortune, and not rely on the government to give it to them.

Some of you folks are missing my point...
I gave examples of leftist values because if I didn't, I'd be asked for some.
My question was "Is it hypocrisy for leftists to be complaining about righties imposing their values on the masses, when the Democrats want to do the same thing?"
Get it now?

I totally agree on that. I feel our government shouldnt take any position on abortion or gun control . And frankly i dont feel that homosexuals are to be recognized as married couples. Am i conservative? not the least. But heres the facts, no one party , left or right, should impose anything on the masses and thats the problem. If it were up to liberals, homosexuals will get released from prison early for raping little boys while getting government funding for a gender reassignment surgery because they feel like little women, and if it were up to conservatives, everyone who got pregnant will be forced to marry, abortions are illegal, and womens feelings will be called"hysteria" like the 50's. why go left or right? move foward
this message provided by the libertarian party! :-D

Allowing someone to choose a medical procedure isn't imposing a value on anyone. Anyone opposed to abortion can still decide not to have one. Democrats aren't forcing abortions on anyone, in fact, they feel that if there's better access to education and birth control, they can reduce or eliminate abortions by eliminating unwanted pregnencies.
Gun control - Democrats aren't against gun ownership, but when you have a tool that can be so easily used for malicious purposes, some sort of regulation isn't the same as being against guns. Many democratic leaders who the NRA claims are against guns are actually hunters and gun ownership supporters. We require people to understand laws and regulations and to prove safe use before allowing them to drive a car. Asking for some controls and requirements for gun ownership isn't the same as trying to take them away. That isn't a moral stance, it's one of practicality.
Stem cell research - there is a moral component, but when you consider the following: 1) Stem cells are harvested from embryos that will never become children. Are they being destroyed for research? Perhaps, though there are now methods to harvest without destruction. Would the embyos be saved if not used for stem cell research? No. They'd essentially get flushed down the sewer. We harvest organs from people who get into accidents or are going to die. No one questions the morality of that. 2) By merely choking off funding for increased embryonic stem cell research, it's a political, not moral stand. If the government funded the research, they would be the main source of funding, and any controls over how the cells are obtained would be in place. By leaving up to corporations, there are no controls.
The Democrats don't have anything against the rich. They feel that the rich, benefitting more from society, can give a very small fraction more back in the form of taxes. They're against pure and selfish greed at the expense of the less fortunate, but, again, that's as much practical as it is moral. Societies do better when there is more equity and a thriving middle class. The greater the disparity, the more societal problems. That's a fact.
Just because someone opposes your imposing morality, it doesn't mean they are imposing theirs. That's the kind of relativism that conservatives accuse liberals of.

As far as I know no organization goes around, forcing "legalized abortion" on all women. That's kinda why theyre called "Pro CHOICE" a woman should have the right to CHOOSE and NO ONE WHO DOESNT OWN A WOMB CAN SAY BOO. Pro Lifers (who arent, not really) want to remnovie this CHOICE. Its NOT mandatory to get an abortion, its a CHOICE.
Youre next two options only seem to come out when theres an election afoot. Dont you think republicans exercise gun control as well? Or are you really that naive?
Stem cell research? Nope sorry. Why should we exploit this science and maybe actually find CURES to things, when drug companies make so much MORE money developing drugs which dont CURE but just treat symptoms for the rest of our lives, making all of us "legalized junkies", like your pain meds addicted Neo Jesus, Ruch Limbaugh?
No cool keep forking over every last dollar you make to Big Oil, who not only raised your gas when oil was cheap but also gets hundreds of millions in taxpayer subsidies each year (that of course, on top of the billions in profiteering these past 5 years). Hopefully youll never have to make the choice between getting to the doctors (no gas) or getting a meal (no food).

you can't change anything in this world without touching morality on some basic level.. but the level that the "leftists" were complaining about was higher from the right than many of the issues the Democrats will challenge... such as Gun Control.. as far as abortion.. lets be honest.. neither side is going to do much at all to that issue.. it's too much of a hot topic and would be political suicide to move that line in either direction. stem-cell research has a little more flexibility than abortion and will probably be the most morally inclined issue with the greatest change to it...
then there is the argument that doing things such as legalized abortion wouldn't be imposing someone elses morals on you.. no one said you have to go have an abortion.. it's just saying that if someone else wants to.. then fine.. let them... how does that impose anything on you?

No, it's not hypocrisy.
Don't get an abortion if you don't believe in it, or focus on reducing abortions through education. Nobody is forcing you to have one.
Gun Control, how exactly is it bad? I don't know any reason for a person to need an Uzi to hunt deer. Is there a problem with waiting a week to buy a handgun, why do you need it NOW? We liberals mostly want the laws actually enforced. One more thing, no gun control is not a good solution, it's asking for trouble.
Stem Cell Research. So working to cure disease is against your system of values? If that's the case your values are not moral, just or right.

Okayy... How can you force an abortion onto a person? You can't. What you can give a person is a CHOICE. If you don't want an abortion, don't have one. See? It's all about the freedom of choice. Just like a person should have to right to choose their religion- and not be harassed or even worse, killed because of it. A person should be able to live in peace if he or she is different from you.
The problem with the conservative right is that they want the everyone in the world to be exactly like them, which is a prejudiced viewpoint.
Regarding gun control- look at England. They have gun control, and they have less violent crime. period. It's a fact, not an opinion.
That's really my point, I guess. Lefties like to deal with facts, righties with their own opinions.

I have to agree with substance. The causes of the left are better for society. Providing government funded late term abortions, making sure the guns are in the hands of criminals and NOT law abiding citizens and making sure that money is evenly distributed between those who work for it and those who don't want to work will make for a better world.
Not to mention the example set by Ted Kennedy (murderer) and Clinton (lying cheater).
They really do stand for values that should be important to all of us.
Libs keep saying, "If you don't want an abortion, don't get one. If you want a gun, register it. If you don't like stem cell research, don't use the cure."
Here's the problem...we HAVE to pay for it through our taxes. We don't have a choice. Personally, I don't want my tax money to go to help a woman who has already had 4 abortions, get another one. I don't want to have to go through additional procedures to keep my guns when a criminal can get one faster.
Get it?

You will probably get reported because I always do when I ask the tough questions. They just cannot handle it. I always love how they B* and complain when there is a nativity scene on the town square but they do not seem to understand it is public property and therefore open to public use.
Neo-lib's are known for they hypocrisy. In fact, neoliberlism in and of itself betrays its socialist roots.

BECAUSE....we will all have a choice. Your example
Example: Legalized Abortion,( well then don't get one ) Gun Control,( well then let us liberals hunt on public land and quit reserving it for oil companies ) Stem Cell Research,( well then do not partake of any cures from this procedure).. etc ( ect )
I do not try to limit your choice !!! So leave me alone...
