You need something called a router. It will split the DSL line into either wired cables that will attach directly to each computer, or a wireless connection (if you get a wireless router)

You simply set up the software on the router to act as the machine that will hook up to the internet and either computer can then hook to the internet via the hub (router).

Wired routers have more bandwith available, but that depends also on your bandwithd. Wireless connections can roam anywhere and are great for laptops and pda's.

You will need a router. About $50 at WalMart or any electronic store. It is a box that attachs to your cable modem, and then has multiple ports for attaching several PCs to it. It will control the communication between all the PCs and the modem so that they can all talk at the same time. For about $10 more, you can get a router that includes wireless abilities. (CHeaper then going back and buying a whole new router down the road if you decide to add a wireless device).

Simple attach the router between the modem and one of the PCs. Run the CD that comes with the router and it will set everything up. Then plug in the other computer(s) and go to the Control Panel and run the Network Wizard to add them to the router.

Get a router. Whether or not the router should be wireless depends on if your computers have wireless network card in them. The directions that come with the router will tell you how to hook it up.
