No, it's just as unreliable a pseudo science as it's always been.

No it does not. Just because a group of people decide that the classification of what constitutes a Planet does not make it less or more of a Planetary Object. The decision only effects the scientific community that agree with the finding.
If the scientist said that water is air and air is fire does not make it a reality.
Like all things, we have a perception and an agreed upon reality, a while back in time the scientist told the people that the erath was flat, we believed them and took this information to be true, did it make the earth flat? no
Now the scientists tell me that a body in space does not qualify as a planet, it has an orbit, it has mass, it exists, so I say it is a planet.
For those that say the Astrology is not Science, I say one would not exist without the other. Before the Astronomist was the Astrologer. It is from their records that we have any idea of past events that they observed and recorded.
Becuase a Body in Space is no longer Categoriezed as a Planet does not remove the object or its Gravity and effects on other objects.

If you believe in astrology, then this is not the section for you to be asking questions, as there are no rational, scientific answers to such beliefs.

FWIW- Astrology hasn't been updated in the the last few hundred years where, in the mean time, due to the precession of the earth, the sun is no longer in the respective constellation, but actually about 1.5 constellations (months) off. So, Aries are really Tauruses (Tauri?) and so forth. Do you really believe that everyone born in the same month has the same personality? Geeze.

No it doesn't. Astrology is based on the large close easily identifiable planets and pluto is not on of them. That is not to say that astrology is true, just that the decision that pluto is not a planet has not affected this pseudo science

Pluto's affect on astrology stays. There are other non planetary influences too..like lunar nodes. And there is still scope for more influences to be discovered. For example, we don't yet have a cosmic body equivalent of Horse / breasts. For those who question the type of influence a distant body can have on individuals I suggest they read about synchronicity.

The fact that Pluto wasn't even known to exist until the last century would mean there was less nonsense written about it affecting anything.

You are so in the wrong section. This is for science. You are asking a question about mythology. Astology makes the claim that stars hundreds or thousands of light years away affect human behavior. That is not science.
