actually this is for a header for a poster board for a school science fair project - i forgot how to do it since its been a while

Decals, you need letter decals, go to the nearest art supply store, or craft store, they can direct you. Printer ? You must have a printer, make them in your word processing application, then enlarge them, and boom, instant large letters.

i would just type out a couple letters per page in word and then cut them out, and glue/paste them on the board

you mean to pencil in very light guide lines and a 'test' run to make sure your letters are all on the same line and fit?
a straight edge and a dull pencil
now hop to it

with a ruler and the cirlces could be done with a cup
