I wonder how effective this E-messages really are. Anyone do those as well and get a confirmation email stating something has been overturned due to your participation?

Maybe its a covert government operation to identify descenders, against our lousy,inept & useless government! I sign the ones deemed worthy! Many times its patch work on a project that needs a larger big picture overhaul to start out with etc.

I've signed many that have gotten great results! Walmart brought Christmas back into their stores, several offensive advertizements have been taken off of tv, different bills that the goverment wanted to push thru have been stopped by them. Section 220 of the new bill the Democrats want to put out is one that everyone just signed for. Not the whole bill, not the good part to get reform in just this one section that will eliminate our petitions and the right to know what the goverment is doing about like abortion, freedoms etc. They want to silence our knowledge of this so there won't be any more petitions.

I have received e-notices to go to a certain website and sign a petition...and they have been successful. But no..I have never heard of a petition in an email ever do any good at all. I think those are just to gather names and email addresses.

YES !!! I have signed petitions on Darfur and there has been definite action being taken...by of all people Kay Baily Hutchensin R-TX...The petions do get attention...keep it up.
