Normally I would say cats, but I think it depends more on the individual animal. We've run into some really rotten cats and some great dogs, but then again it's been the opposite (more often than not, actually). I think that what cats can do is much cooler than any dog any day.

I'd perfer a dog over a cat due to the fact, or in my opinion, they taste better and have more meat.

i perfer dogs....but that is just because my dog has been my companion for 13 years (we adopted her when i was 3)....and she has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. cats just don't seem like they can give you the kind of affection that a dog can. i love the dependance and loyalty that dogs have for us.

I love cats more becuse cats are calm and quite. Dogs use the bathroom everywhere and smell alot. Cats don't smell and you don't need to play with it often. If you play with it from time to time it will still love and show effection by coming on our lap and purring and even knead your leg with their paws. Or maybe rub their bodies next to you a sleep next to you ar keep you comany. Theyare small so they are the pufect pet. If you whant one you should get one that has no mom so they will think that you are the mom and respect you.

Cats - because I live in Chicago and I hate winter. So to take a dog out to releive himself in the dead of winter isn't something I want to do.
