Hello fellow Brightonian.Do you have to re-open internet explorer after your screen saver kicks in, if this is the case you have more or likely got some virus, i'm sure you know how to do a scan . The other answers are all good as regards to your screen saver, if you still have a prob post back and we will help further

OK i have had this problem before

To stayed logged in tick automatically sign in on your account name if there is a option

To access the screen saver go to START > CONTROL PANEL >DISPLAY > SCREEN SAVER

i would say about 10Min's for the screen saver if you leave your computer on without no screen saver pernamany display marks would show up and you cant get rid of the you would have to buy another screen/monitor that's why screen savers where invented

to access Internet options go to START > CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK AND INTERNET CONNECTIONS

look for the tab you are looking for and change what is appropriate for you and your computer

also if you need MORE help contact bozyadam@hotmail.co.uk

Change the time your PC is idle before your screen saver comes on. Go to Start, Control Panel, Display. Then at the top click the screen saver tab. GO to wait and check or increase the time before it comes on. If you are reading for a while it's possible, to the computer, it appears idle.
Or even near the wait box where you choose the type of screen saver, choose none.

you need to extend the time that passes before screensaver activates.make it like 15 min.you have it set to come on to soon, and when you are looking at a web page and reading it for to long the screensaver is activated.

Disable your screen saver...
It's nothing to do with cables and ISP address

↓ Control Panel
↓ Appearance and Themes (Category view)
↓ Choose a screen saver link
↓ Use the drop down menu to select none

↓ Or increase the time set for it to activate

While your there:

↓ See if the box saying - on resume ask for password is ticked
↓ If so is this the log in box you are referring to... if so remove the tick

The computer is not reacting to any keystrokes or mouse moves you are making.
Are they working okay?
If they are the simple fix is to turn off the screensaver while you complete this work!
Click on the desktop and choose 'properties', then choose 'Screen Saver' and set it to 'none'.
OK it and the saver is disabled.

Sounds like your screensaver is set to turn on too fast, right click your desktop, go to properties, screensaver and change the time out setting.

Yes, either extend the screensaver time or turn it off - I'd turn it off, it's unnecessary & takes up resources. Also, go Control Panel - Performance & Maintenance - Power Options & set the turnoff/hibernate to "never"; most people don't need these, we just turn the machine off when we're finished.

Yes, indeed. very nice bum!

Check the timeout on your screen saver. (Right click on the desktop > click on properties > click on the screensaver tab). Increase the time, or disable it. That should keep it from coming up.

START >

Control panel (on right hand side usually)

Display>

Screensaver

then increase the amount of time before it is enabled
