I am not really a big fan of John Cena but people criticize him so much when his opposite on smackdown, Batista is much worse. Since Batista returned from injury this year he has become so terrible in everything. Batista can't wrestle and watching him in his matches feels like your watching the big show in slow motion. Look at how many times the fans have chanted 'Boring' during his ppv matches but when he makes his entrance the crowd goes wild. His mic skills are damn awful and he has as much charisma as stone cold has hair. What is all the hype about Batista? Cena has been booed many times but I have never heard the fans chant 'Boring' for his matches. Cena has got the mic skills and the charisma. Cena is not the best wrestler but he works hard in the ring and can at least have exciting matches. People need to start booing Batista instead of Cena.

I think a lot of people are just tired of getting Cena force-fed down their throats. It's almost as if the WWE is telling wrestling fans that they aren't bright enough to choose their own favorites, so they're going to TELL them who their favorite is.
A perfect example was last night's Raw -- there is no way Cena should have opened the show, especially with that lame "contract signing" bit...yet, he did open the show with that lame contract signing bit.

Whilst im not a Big john Cena fan, nor a big Batista fan, I do respect them both, as I do with all wrestlers for the time, and extreem hard work they do! But I do agree that John Cena has better in ring ability that Batista, better mic skills, more charisma, better work rate and more intensity! Batista has been nothing more than boring since he came back from injury, and in my opinion he did not, at least yet deserve to win that world heavyweight title back at summerslam. (and how obvious was it that he was gonna win it back then? I much prefer Cena to Batista anyday!
The big John Cena fans though are 'mainly' Women and Kids! (You can tell this by the tone of his cheers, theyre all screams!) Older males, do not in general like John Cena. Its because they just think that john Cena is a gimmik! He cannot wrestle, although he has improved vastly in the ring (added a submission move to his list - STFU) and his work rate and intensity have risen over the past year or so. But they see him as a guy who does not even wear wrestling boots! He wears trainers, and he used to pretend to pump them up before pulling off certain moves, now that is not gonna appeal to WRESTLING fans, but of course it will appeal to kids, who dont even know what real wrestling is about. The real wrestling fans see Cena as a joke to wrestling in general. At least Batista wears boots and trunks, rather than trainers and baggy shorts.
But as I say, I do agree that Cena is much better, he can cut better promos, be more intense in the ring, and can actually have some very entertaining matches, especially the TLC match with Edge last year, which was brilliant.
Batista is bland and boring, and is were he is because of his looks! Hes a monster, simple as that, but doesnt have much else going for him, His matches are boring, and since coming back has not been on one good match or storyline. I really would like to see the world heavyweight title passed on to either Kennedy, Taker, or Benoit.

I think Batista is by far the worst wrestler ever, they hired him because of his looks, he didn't even know how to wrestle when they hired him. The reason that John Cena's matches seem a bit better than Batista's is because John Cena does have more skill, but also because his opponents (besides the great Khali and Umaga) are very talented and carry John through his matches and make him seem more credible. Edge is very good at making people look stronger and more talented then they are, yet Batista doesn't have someone like edge on smackdown, so his matches are just snooze fests.

You know I totally agree w/you and I have said that Batista is garbage for a while now. He does even less than Cena in the ring and he does not "sell" moves at all. Everything is clotheslines and slams. He is slow and boring. I have never understood the hype around Batista. I just don't like Cena's gimmick but he is a better performer than Batista.

human beings dont boo batista because he became booked more effective perfect. He gained a mess of followers such as his perfect slow burning face turn adverse to HHH and became booked in somewhat short suits to cover his lack of in ring skills (which to be honest are a lot more effective perfect than Cena.) Cena on the different hand has been pushed as a right card face from in basic terms about the starting up. His suits were ropey at perfect (on raw he doesnt get the ease of re-taping segments and botched spots like batista does on smackdown,) and has relied on his feud with the multi-proficient facet to save him interior the lime-problem-free. Wrestling followers are not any further stupid and boo cena loudly as is their right. Batista isn't any stranger to the boos both, his visual charm on ECW adverse to the vast coach became met with chants of "you both suck" and "change the channel" he reacted badly to this, throwing a sting like hissy fit.

ur exactly right, since batista came back, he has only fought bookert and finlay and of course, santa. he often stalls when he is on the mic and he is on the B show, smackdown. he is one of the last world contenders so he gets top priority which is screwed up cuz theres benoit which needs another long reign, kane needs 1 cuz he has only one world title 4 one day and especially taker, taker is the most mistreated cuz he hasnt won a title since 2002! and on top of that he has to lose to batista at WM23 and screw up his streak

Trust me. Amongst my Cena bashing, I never said he wasn't a decent entertainer. He's decent on the mic. While Batista may botch a few moves, he's still overall a better in-ring performer that Cena is.
