I suggest trying it out on yourself before trying it out on your pet.

the above people are very incorrect.
Rat Poison is composed of brodifacoum. Brodifacoum reduces the amount vitamin K "in a diet" which reduces blood clotting. Reduction of blood clotting allows the blood to run more freely within the veins and allows the heart to pump faster. Adding Brodifacoum to your hamster food, will allow the vitamins and nutrients to spread through the body quicker and more evenly, which will cause the Hamster to grow more mature and faster. He will not necessarily gain weight, but the his/her structure would grow, and then as you ease him off of the Brodifacoum, he will automatically start gaining weight to fulfill his structure, because his heart and blood has slowed down.

It may be true, I have no knowledge of this. I know it rarely kills rats, so it might not kill your poor hamster. You can put 1-5% of a gram into its diet after you dilute it with water. If your hamster doesn't die yet, then it maybe safe for prolonged usage. Should see if you can handle it first though. You should test with 15x the hamsters weight of what you were giving it. If you don't feel sick, then it maybe safe for prolong use.

You're kidding right? Rat poison will kill him dead. No need to experiment with him. Just give him some hamster food. You can find it in any grocery store. Make sure he has plenty of water.
Just throw the rat poison into the outside garbage can, silly.

RAT POISON WILL KILL YOUR HAMSTER!!!!!! rats and hamsters, believe it or not, are very closely related. if it is not safe for a rat, it is definately not safe for a hamster. the only thing rat poison will do is make it die faster.....
