They generally don't give these unless you are at real high risk, or have had a really hard time conceiving, because all it would show is the cells implanted in the uterus.

You won't be able to see anything special. Believe me. I went yesterday at almost 9 weeks, and although I was able to see the heartbeat, which was totally thrilling, we were barely able to make out which end was the head!

If you have an ultrasound at 4 weeks along you will see an embryo (sack). You won't see a fetus until about 12-16 weeks of pregnancy

My sister had a transvaginal ultrasound at 4 weeks from last menstral period and you could see a small black dot on the screen and that was the sac.

In most cases, not all, there isn't anything visible until at least 5-6 weeks. I had a quite extensive transvag. ultrasound at 5 weeks and they saw nothing...waited a couple more weeks and then we saw it.

From what I understand, at 4 weeks, there's not much to see but maybe a yolk sac. By 8 weeks, there's a heartbeat, though.

yes and all you can see is the sack and the little flutters of a heartbeat and the ultrasound will have to be done internally " vaginal ultrasound"

Why would you have an ultrasound that early? No you likely aren't going to see anything, particularly if you have a tipped uterus. So why have an expensive, unnecessary and possibly dangerous test when it isn't going to be able to diagnose anything?
