More than likely, it's nothing more than Braxton-Hicks contractions.....the simple contractions that prepare your body for actual labor.
What to watch for......
1) cramps accompanied by ANY type of bleeding, or even a blood tinged mucus (sign of onset of labor)
2) cramping to the point of inability to move....possible complication, such as toxemia
3) pain that has a "ripping" feel to it......possible detachment of the placenta in-utero
If you experience ANY of the above, go to your nearest ER and be evaluated IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise, see your doctor as usual (you should be going every week to 2 weeks right now), and discuss with him......he will be able to give you more information!!

Back pain combined with cramps is usually a sign of labor, but to make sure it's not just Braxton-Hicks contractions, try laying on your left side & drink a lot of water. With actual labor, the cramps will become more intense, longer in duration, and closer together. Braxton-Hicks are more sporadic.
Remember 5-1-1: If they become 5 minutes apart, are at least 1 minute long, for an hour or more, then it's time for the hospital.

Im 30 weeks pregnant, I've also been having bad period like cramps and once my doctor checked me out she informed me that itwas just Braxton-Hicks contractions. Apparently some people get the a lot more intensely than others, especially in the last 2 months of pregnancy.

It sounds like you may actually be experiencing what is known as Braxton Hicks contractions. It is normal to experience that but if the pain starts coming quicker or blood appears you should go to the doctor. Also, just for a peace of mind call the doctor's office or local ER and describe what is going on. They may help give you a better idea if it is false labor or not.

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

i had the same thing, at it started when i was 32 weeks also... i went to the doc and she said that that its just the baby starting to drop and your body is starting to get ready for labor, the cramping she said is a form of contractions, but they arnt the real thing. those crampings will get alot worse in a couple of weeks... well they have for me anyhow, if your anything like me, you will also start getting alot of pains down below :) not fun stuff, hurts like heck, but just to be safe i would talk to you doc about, it COULD be something serious but i doubt it.. doesnt hurt to doubt check, by now you are going to the doc every 2 weeks anyways right? good luck

I would definitely speak with a doctor on this one. It may be nothing serious, but it's always best to check.
