Disrespect? 2/3's of this league is nothing but trash-talking thugs. This all comes down to "you can dish it but can't take it" logic and I know LT isn't that much for taunting and usually holds himself in higher standards. The fact that the Chargers, including the "no-show Merriman" were spouting all week about trouncing the Pats leads up to what you have here. Talking **** all week is just as much disrespect, if not more.

I believe the Patriots heard the same thing I heard throughout the week before the game. The Patriots were going to get shut down. There was no way the Patriots could compete. Shawn Merriman talking smack about himself. The Patriots didn't have enough talent. The Patriots couldn't stop LT. The Patriots couldn't stop Antonio Gates. Rivers is in the Pro Bowl and Brady isn't because Rivers is the better QB. Yada yada yada. Seymour said throughout the game the Chargers were jawing about how they were going to whip the Pats.
So, I understand the want to celebrate and rub the Chargers face in it. The problem I have though, is it makes the Pats look like they believed all the talk. It makes the Pats look like they didn't expect to win. A team that expects to win a big game doesn't act so surprised at the end when they do.

Not sure about the imaginary Teddy Bruschi/Jeff Wilkins incident in Super Bowl XXXVI, but I do recall Kurt Warner being interviewed the week before the Super Bowl and talking about how good it would look to have 5 Super Bowl Rings, one for each finger. didn't pan out , did it Kurtsy? Eggs need to hatch before you count those chickens.
Good Point, LT was more concerned about an innocent post-game celebration dance than a dangerous intentional helmet to helmet collision which could have caused a concussion, I guess that shows where his priorities are.

I think that if you're a Pats fan, you may think that but thats WAY different than celebrating on the Chargers logo with Merriman's dance. One is in the heat of the moment, the other one is premeditated....plus LT's right, the Pats have won 3 Super Bowls, you would think that behavior isnt necessary.

Well the media seems to paint the patriots in a certain light.
But they have never had any class. and have never been a dominant team, they usually slide by with a 3 pt field goal win and act like pricks

as I understand, after the game was over, hobbs went to the center of the feild and started doing shawn merriman's trademark 'lights out" dance on the chargers helmet, which as LT thought (and I agree) was extremely disrespectful.

That's the problem there though. Everybody knows that the Chargers are not and have never been much of a classy organization. But the Pats have always been a pretty classy team until this year with Belechick not shaking Mangini's hand, or the celebration after the game against the Chargers, it's really sad to see the Pats sink that low.

The Chargers choked, he knew it.
Patriots were NEVER classy, remember 2001 super bowl against the rams. Vinateiri won it as time expired and then Teddy Brusci deadlined Jeff Wilkins after Wilkens was arguing about the pass interference to put them in fg range!

Sore loser! Poor loser!
He also keeps talking about it in the press making himself look like even more of a sore loser by not letting it go.
The alleged "stolen dance" he is complaining about is a taunt by one of his own teammates that is used regularly, yet he doesn't apparently consider it so when done by his own guy.
